We are excited to announce that Gerald Vance was chosen to receive the 2006 Mississippi State Quartet Association's (MSQCA) "Special Achievement Award". The highest award given at the convention each year, it is given to honor a special person's service to God, family, ministry, and community. Gerald is shown here with his granddaughter Kaitlyn Gammill giving him support on-stage just after receiving the honor. The annual convention was held October 19-21 in Philadelphia, MS.

Elizabeth Diane Riley Reilly

August 10, 1965 - October 8, 2007

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith..." II Timothy 4:7

Liz was diagnosed with leukemia in February, 2004. In the days and months that followed, she did everything required of her in her fight. She was brave, strong, bold, loving, caring and determined, overcoming many obstacles. She set an example for so many, including her family and even for people whom she had never personally met. In August, 2006, she received a bone-marrow transplant, which proved to be successful. However, on September 12, this year, she went in the hospital with pneumonia, from which she succumbed on October 8. Please continue to lift this family up in prayer. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your prayers, support and love shown to us and to Elizabeth and her family. She will be missed by many. Following is her favorite version of Psalms 23, a Psalm of David, that had she shared with several of her friends and her family:

1. The Lord is my Shepherd. That's relationship!

I shall not want. That's supply!

2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. That's rest!

He leads me beside the still waters. That's refreshment!

3. He restores my soul. That's healing!

He leads me in the paths of righteousness. That's guidance!

For His name's sake. That's purpose!

4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. That's testing!

I will fear no evil. That's protection!

For Thou art with me. That's faithfulness!

Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. That's discipline!

5. Thou prepareth a table before me in the presence of my enemies. That's hope!
